Metal Covers for Roofs

PI 2000 manufactures metal roofing for industrial buildings, guaranteeing high levels of thermal and acoustic insulation using resistant and highly performing materials.
A valid alternative to traditional tiles is represented by metal roofing for roofs.

Metal roofing with corrugated sheets

Metal roofing made with corrugated sheets are made from metal coils and can be made of different materials: natural or pre-painted aluminum, zinc, zinc-titanium, pre-painted steel, copper and stainless steel. Once installed and folded, the metal roofs maintain their resistance and lightness over time. The main advantage of metal roofing with corrugated sheets is undoubtedly the lightness, followed by:
  • Frost resistance
  • Resistance to high loads
  • Resistance to various natural stresses
  • Speed of installation
  • Pleasant design

Metal roofing with insulated sandwich panels

An alternative to metal roofing with corrugated sheets is represented by metal roofing for roofs made with sandwich panels which can be of two types, corrugated or tile type. This solution is practical, light, functional and also aesthetically pleasing. Metal roofs with insulated sandwich panels are built by overlapping three different layers:
  • an external sheet metal layer, made of natural aluminum or prepainted aluminum, zinc, zinc-titanium, prepainted steel, copper and stainless steel;
  • a central layer made with insulating material;
  • a layer of lower sheet metal, which can be made of steel, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, or fiberglass, which helps to give solidity to the panel.
The corrugated sandwich panels are used to cover both large and small surfaces, since the quality-price ratio is excellent. The tile-type sandwich panels are used as an alternative solution to the classic brick tile, to cover both residential and industrial surfaces of small and large dimensions. Both the corrugated sandwich panels and the tile-type ones have a high resistance to compression, are light, elastic and guarantee a high level of thermal and acoustic insulation. Thanks to the high insulating properties, the metal roofs with insulated sandwich panels allow for high energy savings. PI 2000 creates works that are visually pleasing, but above all durable: our company is also engaged in the removal of deteriorated asbestos roofs and therefore dangerous for people’s health. The asbestos roofing is removed and replaced with metal roofing:
  • lighter, to reduce the weight on the supporting structure;
  • more resistant to loads (accidental, peak, distributed ..);
  • with greater thermal insulation, guaranteed by the use of materials such as polyurethane, polystyrene, polystyrene or wool.

Advantages of metal roofing covers

The advantages associated with metal roofing are several. Surely the most important is the lightness, which makes these structures easy to transport and install; another important advantage is represented by the high mechanical strength and the different types of materials available for their execution in order to ensure durability over time and which protects them from the action of atmospheric agents. Metal roofing can be used on both new and older buildings as well as when it is necessary to increase the degree of insulation of the structure through the applicable insulators. The possibility of customization is very high and, for this reason, the insulated panel proves to be a suitable solution for any type of building.

Maintenance of metal roofing for roofs

Metal roofing covers do not have any particular disadvantages, however careful design and installation is required to obtain quality final results. In fact, during the assembly phases the installers must pay close attention to the conservation of the panels: a neglect of the first aspects could in some way compromise the final result.
